This week it is chickens. I have been in a bit of a slump, probably due to the emotional exhaustion of having my oldest baby move out and get married. (Love to both John and Vicky, I couldn't be happier for you). So I started doodling. Here a chick, there a chick, everywhere a chick chick. There are nine chickens done in EQ7 as of this morning, with a few more waiting to be hatched. I haven't decided if this will become a new BoM for 2012. There are so many ideas swirling around in my head right now.
I thought it would be fun to share a little preview with you on how they currently look. All chooks subject to change however!

Oh wonderful! They are so sweet. I love chickens.. especially nice if you want to do some on a variety of items for your kitchen and have a whole flock of them in there!
Oh oh MY! I got so excited when I saw this! I do hope that these darling chicks become a BOM some month soon. I love 'em! :)
I love these guys. I was at my friend's farm last week and visited with her free range flock. I even posted a few pics on my blog.

You are such an amazing designer! It's fun to see the chickens on the grid paper and then see them transferred into EQ. . I love it!!!

The blue one is my favorite. How great they all are. Thanks.
Amazing what you come up when doodling. Wonderful!
I have never been a fan of chickens but I have to say that these are absolutely awesome!!!!!!! Hope you do them as a BOM.
The new chickens are wonderful. I was trying to locate the patterns for your old ones and do not see them on fatcatpatterns anymore. Are they still available?
The older designs are slowly being moved over to the EQBoutique. https://www.myeqboutique.com/Shop/pc/eqboutique.asp
This will make room for new stuff on the FatCat Pattern site. Look for a couple new chicken designs Nov 1st.
These are gorgeous!

Sindy, I love the funky chickens BOM
I was planning on starting these the beg of March. I had a computer crash :( and lost block one. how can I get it again???
thanks,
thunder
I look forward to these arriving each month and am really enjoying making them.
May I make a suggestion; leave the borders off the placement diagram. I hand applique and when I print the diagram, it uses 4 sheets of paper. Without the border, it would only be one.
thank you.
