This week it has been dogs. Boxers and Great Danes to be specific. I enjoy dogs in general and working with them in an applique setting is a bit of a challenge. The artist in me wants MORE detail, while the quilter in me is screaming keep it SIMPLE! I did have a wee bit of frustration when after a full day of playing around in EQ 7, I corrupted my project file. Lesson learned, do not allow applique patches to extend over the outside edge of the block, even for a minute. I guess the auto save kicked in while I was moving patches around, and the file will not open now. Oh well, at least when I remade the project I already knew what I wanted things to look like!
I won't complain though, EQ 7 is still the absolute best quilting tool I have!

Oh I'm loving your new designs! I have been looking for a great dane pattern that I actually like. Yours is PERFECT! My son has a black/white great dane that looks just like this!

Sindy-I just love your patterns and thank you so much for them.
I have a little request for a dog pattern-shiba inu! My daugher has one and they are the nicest dogs.
These are amazing! and I love your bear!! Do you think you could make either a deer or an elk? and possibly a rifle? I'm trying to put together a tribute quilt of my grandmother's original homestead and am having the worst luck finding appliques that are decent enough to use for this very special quilt. Thank you so much for the use of your bear! It's going to make such a wonderful addition to the quilt.
