Summer
This summer has been a real doozer for triple digit days. My outside time has become limited to early mornings and late evenings. Inside we are keeping things as cool as reasonably possible. That means most of the day I am bitching and moaning about being hot, lol. There has been little to none designing or sewing happening and that saddens me a bit. That does not mean I haven't been busy though. Johnny and Victoria will be moving into their new apartment next weekend. I have been teeter tottering between the being melancholy over my first little bird leaving the nest, and being giddy over Jon getting his own hobby room! Johnny will be taking the furniture from my sewing room, and Jon will be moving my cabinets and counters into his new "man cave". Jamie Lee and I are having run planning the "new" sewing room with an eye to having both our machines set up and running. Aren't I lucky that she wants to quilt!

Oh you aren't kidding about the temperatures. We have had like 26 days in a row over 100. I just can't wait to get the electric bill!! NOT. I am not completely convinced that the A/C in the car actually completely cools it in the heat of the day. I am sitting inside in the A/C during the day however working on my quilts, still complaining how hot the weather is, because it is keeping me from enjoying the brown grass outdoors.
Wow! Johnny is all grown up and ready to be on his own! It's so nice that Jamie and you can quilt and sew together! Lovely! xxoo P
