This post is mainly for Marj and my Mom. I wanted to show Marj how I fitted her hand me down furniture into my sewing area. And Mom has never seen my space cleaned up! Look Mom! Cleaned counter!
Things are still a bit cramped in there, well alright, more than a bit. At least until Johnny is out on his own and Jon takes over his old room with his "Manly" stuff. Yes that is a nightstand sitting on my counter top :) right now it is housing my collection of plaids. Using some of them up is one of the projects I would like to accomplish this summer with Jamie.
In the second picture you can see the lovely furniture Marj gave me. It now houses all of my stash! And most of the sewing machines that are not in use. If you look closely you can see a 221, 201, 301, 400 and two 401. We won't discuss my fixation with old Singers.
And in this picture you can see that spoiled Mr. Waa Waa has a basket under both sewing cabinets. His basket of choice depends upon which machine I am using at that moment.

Sindy......loved seeing your Singer 301 in the picture......that is what I grew up on learning how to sew on it and in fact I purchased one at last years Quiltfest Jacksonville show from one of our vendors......I am hoping that when I go out to see my Mom in a few weeks that she will let me have the one that I grew up one....one cannot have too many of those old workhorses of machines.
