And here in Texas that means porch time and BBQ. I have been trying hard to make our porch a bit more presentable, it always feel like a yard sale to me. This year I found some amazing build it yourself log chairs at Big Lots. Stevie was drafted into the project of building them for me and he did an amazing job of it. Jon had him assemble the chairs in my sewing room. All was dandy until they went to move them out! The door was too small! Yikes. Jon teased me and was saying he would just cut an inch off each leg. I got grumpy and laid down for a nap while they took the door jam apart.
The the chairs sat in the living room for two days while we had some strong storms. Some of us didn't mind that at all, can you guess who? Now the chairs and matching table are out where they belong and I just LOVE them! The flowers are blooming in the sidewalk bed, amazing, nothing lives there long. I have an assortment of potted tomatoes, eggplant and peppers.
Those of you who know me are falling off your seats right now. I have to include pictures as proof! I cannot grow anything, lol.You can also see my amazing thrift store bargain, the huge strawberry pot was only 14 dollars! Viki was the only one who understood my excitement here, the family just nodded and thought I was crazy squealing over a clay pot.
And last but not least, remember the Texas Lilac bushes I put in last year! They have doubled in size and are blooming!

LOVE it! Somehow I'm not surprised that my brother assembled the chairs in the sewing room without realizing that it would be a chore to get them out...
