What's on my Desk

Mug Rug Fever seems to have over taken the cyber quilting world, have to admit I have been smitten too. I just love these quick and easy little rugs. I reworked a couple of my designs to fit onto a 6 x 10 rug for personal gifts, then decided I would share them. You can find them on the FatCat Patterns site Feb 1st. bet your sitting there thinking there is no way you would attempt applique that small, lol. This is definitely a project geared towards top stitch applique!
This week I finally added a Singer Featherweight to my collection. Needless to say I have spent a LOT of time on the web learning more about this little darling. One interesting thing I learned is that not all Featherweights are black! Feb 1st this sewing machine block will be added to the FatCat Patterns site. I thought it would be fun to show it in the different color ways here.

Oh, terrific. I got a "new" featherweight last summer and for my first mug rug, I would love to have it be your little machine. Is it Feb 1 yet?

That's very cute. Just a comment about the colors: The "green" Featherweights I've seen are Pale Turquoise, virtually white; the color fades in UV sunlight, so they vary according to how much time they spent out of the box. I happen to have two white FWs, one of which is almost unused and is just faintly turquoise. The other is ivory with no hint of turquoise that I can see.
